IICA-IASE has the power to change lives

The International Institute for Climate Action (IICA) - is the association of experts in the field of Climate Change and Policy, founded 9 years ago with the purpose to assist the business community in the fight against climate change, reduction of CO2 emissions, introduction of the Low Carbon Strategy, the Adaptation Strategy, and the European Green Plan into their business plans and processes and thus their sustainable green economic development and growth while preserving the environment and climate.

The International Association for Sustainable Economy (IASE) - envisions a future in which our society understands the importance and benefits of Environmental Social and Governance/Gender (ESG) process criteria’s and how it can make our lives better; a future in which consumers can readily identify competent and ethical professionals who place Environmental Social and Governance/Gender’ interests first; a future in which practitioners aspire to the highest levels of professionalism and excellence; in which companies, regulators, governments and many other stakeholders internationally are recognizing ESG criteria as a mainstream.

Marija Pujo Tadić | President of the Board of Governors

Attorney at Law.

She is Attorney at Law and for over twenty five years her field of practice is dealing with the environmental issues, and in the last ten years with the issues of Climate Change law and Climate policy through a variety of institutions. She is very familiar with work of all national and international institutions and processes involved in the issue of Climate Change.

She was born in Dubrovnik and has graduated in Zagreb, Croatia at the Zagreb Law University and has been employed in the position of Advisor at the Ministry of Environment Protection and Constructions. In 1999. she was appointed as Judge at the Magistrates Court and after a long tenure as a Judge, where she has tried a number of cases regarding environmental pollution and violation she has decided to specialize Environmental Law.

Strong business development professional, Carmen holds two Masters degrees and is an alumna from prestigious schools: IESE Business School, Wharton University, Kellogg School of Management- Northwestern University, “Politehnica” University Bucharest, ASEBUSS Bucharest, University of Washington. She has been a member of Professional Women’s Network Romania from its very inception in November 2011, currently being its Board Vice-President Membership Experience.

Since 2019 she is also Chair of the Nomination Committee PWN Global and has been nominated PWN Global Member of the Year in 2019. Since 2016 is member of The “Independent Directors’ Association” (AAI).

Hrvoje Novosel | IASE Croatia Vice-President

Expert in finance, banking, strategic planning and project management
Expert in the financial aspects of Climate Change.

Following the completion of a math/IT curriculum at the Karlovac General High School, Hrvoje Novosel graduated from high school in Karlovac in 1991. From 1991 to 1996 he studied economics at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Zagreb, majoring in management.

During his career he attended numerous finance, management and project management education courses. He also completed the General Management Program at ZSEM, the Basel II program at the Bocconi School, as well as a number of other courses, such as ATTF Luxembourg’s Credit Assessment and Credit Management, RR. & CO. Knowledge Center Ltd. Slovenia, European Union - School for Practical Preparation of EU Grant Projects, RRIF’s Independent Accountant Training, and eventually the Mini MBA program at the PWC Academy.

His business career began in 1997 with Oriflame Croatia, and continued in 1997 with the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR), where he initially took the position of credit officer at the Credit Division. At that time he was in charge of processing and approving loans, guarantees, bills of exchange and other banking products.

Teo Čolan | IASE Croatia

Expert in the field of waste management.

Born on March 5, 1965 in Dubrovnik, where he finished primary and secondary school for administrative and legal officer. In 1993 he graduated on the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zagreb, and got title Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

He worked couple years as a commercialist in meat and egg production industry. From 1997 to 2007 he worked in Veterinarska stanica d.o.o, Dvor. In that, the postwar period, he established the veterinary service in the entire area of municipality of Dvor, renewed poultry farm "ROSULJE" devastated during the war and began with production of broilers and construction of the first bio-gas plant in Croatia that uses animal manure to produce electricity.

From 2007 until to 2009 he worked In the Veterinary Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Croatia on the establishment of a system for the identification and monitoring of animals in traffic. As a specialist he participated in the negotiations on the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the EU. Since 2009 he is employed in the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund EPEEF) as Assistant Director for the management of special categories of waste (PKO).

Mladen vedriš, PhD

He is an expert in the area of macroeconomic analysis, regional development, industrial policy, and competitiveness. He has published several scientific and professional Works and has participated in several foreign and domestic scientific research projects.

Prof.dr. Mladen Vedriš was born on 29 December 1950 in Zagreb. B.A., M.A, and PhD from the Faculty of Economics, Zagreb.

His scientific research career began at the Center for the Research of Migration of the University of Zagreb (1975-1984).

In 1990, he became president of the executive council of the city of Zagreb (the equivalent today is the position of mayor). In 1992, he became a member of the national government, and at the beginning of 1993 he was the deputy prime minister for economics. From 1993 to 1995 he was president of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce. In 1996, he founded the strategicconsulting company Sonder d.o.o.

From 2005 till October 2020 he has been a professor at the Faculty of Law in Zagreb and the head of the Department of Economic Sciences. He has been teaching the course of the Economic Policy and two undergraduate elective courses – International Economic Relations and Economic Success and Institutions. He was also a guest professor for doctoral and post-graduate studies at the Faculties of Economics in Zagreb, Rijeka and Osijek.

Sunčanica Skupnjak Kapić

Expert in the field of international trade and trade policy, corporate social responsibility and anti-corruption, climate action and sustainable development.

Sunčanica was appointed the Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Croatia in 2012 and was a delegate to the ICC World Council. Sunčanica managed activities of ICC Croatia and promoted international trade, corporate social responsibility, climate action, sustainable development and digitalization of business processes while also advocated for ICC policies before the State authorities.

She was also steering the work of 12 ICC Croatia policy commissions in a wide range of issues from arbitration, banking, corporate responsibility and anti-corruption, environment and energy, competition, digital economy to trade and investment policy.

Prior to joining ICC, Sunčanica was a managing director of the International Relations Directorate at the Croatian Chamber of Economy dealing with bilateral and multilateral economic cooperation focusing on internationalization of the Croatian economy.

Her expertise includes also developing and managing trans-national projects and issues pertaining to international migration gained during her work as the Project manager and Officer-in-Charge at the Mission to Croatia of the International Organization for Migration, the UN Migration Agency.

Domagoj I. Milošević

Born on 5th of January 1970 in Zagreb.
